July 2 eating contests carry a vision for Olive Hill's future

Todd Antrobus is excited about the eating contest at his restaurant in Olive Hill this Tuesday. He also sees the competitions as an event which could be the start of something really big for Olive Hill's future.

Saturday's parade in Olive Hill, which marked the 50th Anniversary of the Tom T. Hall Homecoming, featured an incredible number of participants.

Spectators along the parade route cheered for young and old alike as the 2109 Olive Hill homecoming parade got underway along Tom T. Hall Boulevard.

Cold case files: Kelly Glover

A friend of murder victim Kelly Glover made a point to display a T-shirt honoring his memory during Saturday's homecoming parade in Olive Hill. Glover was killed in an apparent shotgun ambush on a rural road nearly five years ago, and his "cold case" has received renewed attention following an interview with his children, brother and sister-in-law as published by CarterCountyPost.com.

City of Grayson Tourism meeting June 13, 2019

The Grayson Tourism Commission met in regular session Thursday, June 13 at the tourism cabin. Issues covered included a report about construction progress on the sports and recreation park, along with discussion of concerns about local hotels' failure to pay the required 3% transient tax to the city of Grayson.

Lightsaber dueling every Sunday, weather permitting

Members of the Rancor group meet each Sunday, weather permitting, at 6 p.m. in the Grayson Gallery & Art Center parking lot. Meetings are open to the public and participants must be 16 years old.


Food truck "Drive(s)-In" to Grayson

Hungry folks in Grayson welcomed the new food truck from Olive Hill's The Drive-In this week at the former Ralph's FoodFair parking lot. Owner Todd Antrobus reported outstanding demand for the restaurant's "Big T", as well as the "White Light" and "Baby Henri" combos, Friday afternoon.

Walker recognized by Rotary
