Donna Isaacs with her grandson Christian Kouns, who is now stationed in England at Royal Air Force Lakenheath.
Tasty temptations created with love in local kitchens are commanding strong bidding from friends, family and supporters of Donna Isaacs of Hitchins, who is being treated for cancer found in her brain.
Donna Isaacs was an employee of First National Bank of Grayson for more than 20 years.
"She worked right up until the week she was diagnosed," said family member Whitley Kouns.

A wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Isaacs was also a Sunday school teacher at Hitchins Wesleyan church for 35 years. She was diagnosed September 19, 2019 with Stage 4 melanoma of the brain.

"One tumor was removed and one in back of the brain that was non-operable. They are still looking for the primary source of the cancer. She will be having surgery in two weeks on three nodules on her leg to see if they are also cancerous. She will start radiation treatment October 28th."

A few of the desserts and treats set to be gaveled off include:

Delicious Honeybun Cake made by Charlotte Ruth - "It’s my family’s personal favorite, you know it’s a special occasion when she breaks out the recipe for this amazing cake!!"

Famous Apple Stack Cake made by Mary Karen Porter

Mexican corn Bread made by Joan Willis Stone - "Let’s talk about mouth watering. She always has people calling wanting her to make this bread, for years she’s made it to take to families whom have lost a loved one or taken it to family reunions."

Shane Bailey Racing has also donated a T-shirt to the auction.

"Shane Bailey is one of our biggest supporters! He & his wife Whitley Hill Bailey, who has also donated an Oreo Cake and Apple Dumplings to the auction, are two of our best friends and have been by our side throughout Donna’s diagnosis. They’ve been there for surgery, hospital visits, calling everyday to check on her. They aren’t just friends to us they are family."
