Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital to close; Bon Secours to exit acute and outpatient care in Ashland by end of September

(January 21, 2020) – Bon Secours Health System today announced that it will be exiting acute and outpatient care in the Ashland and Tri-state communities by the end of September 2020 resulting in the closure of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH), system-owned care sites and its physician network Bellefonte Physician Services.

Eagerly awaiting their first cup of a special "Momma's Blend" coffee received as a Best-Wishes gift from Carter County's Goose Bridle Coffee Roasters, the staff at Momma's Kitchen are preparing to serve many returning customers early Monday morning (January 20, 2020). 
When the new "Momma's Kitchen" sign went up at the longtime location of the former Rosie's Restaurant near the Carter/Boyd County line, news spread like wildfire around the world as generations of local diners shared the story.

Sisters Rachel and Tabby Sexton both started working at Rosie's Restaurant when they were only
14 years old.
Years have since passed and the old pay phone out front is long gone, but the sisters from Rush plan to soon re-open the former café as Momma's Kitchen and bring back the homemade tastes that made the place famous with local diners.
